About the Summit

We invite you to join us for the 2023 Adult Redeploy Illinois (ARI) All-Sites Summit: Building Equity, Access and Impact, in Bloomington, Illinois on May 22-23, 2023.

ARI has built a strong network of sites over the past 13 years. Our strengths are our presence throughout the State of Illinois, our commitment to enhancing knowledge of best practices in treatment and services, our compassion toward program participants receiving community-based treatment, and our people on the ground and in our programs. At this year’s Summit we look to the future to explore how we can use these assets to build equitable access to our programs and broaden our impact through local design and control, implementation of evidence-informed practices, and holistic support for those in the system.

The Summit will bring together multi-disciplinary team members from counties and judicial circuits operating ARI-funded local prison diversion programs to share best practices that continue to advance positive outcomes for ARI program participants.

The intended audience is a spectrum of ARI site representatives including, but not limited to, judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, treatment providers, probation staff and supervisors, law enforcement, program coordinators, program partners, researchers, and policymakers.

About Adult Redeploy Illinois

Adult Redeploy Illinois (ARI) is a state grant program administered by the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority to expand alternatives to incarceration. The mission of ARI is to safely reduce prison use by building local systems that divert individuals from a prison sentence into more cost-effective programs that promote their reintegration into the community. ARI provides funding and technical assistance to Illinois communities to establish a continuum of sanctions and treatment alternatives that effectively address social determinants of crime and incarceration, and that promote equity within the justice system. ARI’s vision is of an equitable justice system that protects public safety and increases access to interventions, allowing people to avoid prison and lead productive lives in their community.

ARI has grown from five initial pilot sites in early 2011, to the current 28 sites implementing programs covering 44 Illinois counties.
